Duties

Basic Function of the Position

The incumbent operates armored vehicles to include vans and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs)- as well as unarmored vehicles.  The incumbent must also be qualified to drive trucks from 2.5 tons up to 20 tons and up to 26 passenger buses.                                                                                           

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Two years experience as a chauffeur is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must be familiar with Cairo and the local metropolitan area and have a good knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. 

Must know common safety practices in regards to vehicle operation to ensure the safety of both passengers and cargo.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary school is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Limited knowledge in speaking-reading-writing of English is required. (this will be tested).

Fluent in speaking-reading-writing of Arabic is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Ability to operate armored vehicles as evidenced by possession of at least a Second Class drivers license and a road test conducted by the Motor Pool Supervisor.
